I dropped off some of my independent work at North Star today. It will be for sale there this Friday at the shop's Grand Opening. Here are photos of many of those pieces. I have dubbed the jewelry in this style my "under the sea" line. I apologize for the blurriness of the images.

I recently learned how to reclaim silver scrap which has been useful in our upcoming environmentally friendly line. I don't have any pictures of that process but there will be posted photos of jewelry we make with recycled silver and wire soon. I do have a photo of a few of the S hook clasps I made. My favorite shape is the second one in from the right. The picture itself is pretty bad but the ruler on the left conveniently indicates scale. It feels great to actually make every (or almost every) element in a piece of jewelry I make. I would like to further pursue greener ways to go about jewelry-making. Because so many elements in jewelry come from the earth, re-using already mined, fabricated, existing elements is one of the best ways to go about this. I have a long way to go in this department but hopefully I'll begin to feel better and better about the materials I use in my artwork.
